Stacey Tyburski Quarles

Principal

Stacey is an exploration geoscientist with over 20 years of experience in upstream oil and gas companies. Following various positions at Arco International and Vastar Resources she moved to Nexen Petroleum mid-career. Her areas of expertise include exploration strategy and basin analysis, portfolio optimisation, new ventures evaluation, prospect maturation and exploration drilling. She has worked across diverse geologic settings including West Africa, the United Kingdom, deep water Gulf of Mexico, onshore South America, and offshore China.

Stacey holds an MA in Geology from the University of Texas, in Austin, and a BA in Geology from Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania.

Highlights:

• Exploration team leadership including exploration strategy formulation and implementation, license stewardship, co-venturer and regulatory relationship management, technical assurance of prospects, staff management and development.

• Play based regional basin analysis, prospect maturation and testing through drilling.

• Regional and prospect level mapping and interpretation of 3d and 2d seismic data, interpreter oversight and input into processing of geophysical data including sub-salt imaging.
