Chris Roe

Chris has over 30 years’ management consulting experience, working extensively across telecommunications, utilities, life sciences, oil & gas, manufacturing, and consumer goods. He advises global companies on strategy, business model development, risk, and market entry.

Chris has worked at a range of consulting firms during his career, including as a Partner at Strategic Decisions Group (SDG) and IMS Consulting (now IQVIA), where he led the Product and Portfolio Strategy Practice in EMEA and was a member of the Executive Leadership Team, leading an internal restructuring of the consulting operations. Previously, he was co-founder and COO of brand strategy consultancy Redmandarin.

Highlights includes:

  • Working with the executive team of a leading renewable energy player to identify and prioritise key challenges facing the business and how to tackle them strategically.
  • Leading a project with an international life sciences company to develop a strategic response to rapidly emerging competitive threats in its key markets.
  • Working with an international oil and gas major to explore market entry and positioning strategies in developing markets in the field of renewables.
  • Leading a project to identify a new strategic direction for a global pharmaceutical company facing increasing uncertainty in its traditional “block-buster led” strategy.
  • Developing and evaluating alternatives available to a North Sea operator with respect to their production rig on a depleting field.
  • Leading Executive Education programmess to build Decision Quality and Decision Analysis capabilities for multiple clients.

Chris holds a BSc in Management Science from the Manchester School of Management, (now part of the Manchester Business School) and attended the Executive Leadership Program at IMD, Switzerland.

Chris also holds several NED positions and is a co-founder and Director of an Artist Studio collective in his home town where he also sits as a Magistrate.
