Phil Snaith
Phil, a Principal, has more than 35 years’ experience in diverse energy businesses of Royal Dutch Shell with extensive board/director and CEO level executive responsibilities. His leadership positions have covered successful mature company turnarounds, restructuring and re-positioning, new venture start-ups (including JVs in China and USA) and new technology development. He has lived and worked extensively overseas and, most recently, led the successful integration, restructuring and change initiatives for Shell’s European Gas and Power businesses.
His career has spanned much of the downstream oil commercial activities and his senior executive positions have included:
- President, Shell International Eastern Trading Company (based in Singapore)
- President HydrogenSource LLC (a start-up hydrogen/fuel cells JV with United Technologies, based in Connecticut, USA)
- Chief Representative, Shell China Ltd (based in Beijing)
- Executive Vice President, Shell Caribbean & Central America (based in Bahamas, Puerto Rico & Barbados)
He has a successful track record and particular expertise in corporate governance (including new venture and JV set-up/negotiations), complex transition and change implementation, project management in commercial applications and strategic business re-positioning. His career has involved him in high-level government representation and international deal making.
Phil holds a BSc in Physics from Imperial College, London and an MBA from Cranfield School of Management.
